  THURSDAY JUNE 12, 2025  

 

1. Attention Grads, Grad tickets are now available in the library for pick up.  Each Grad is allotted 10 tickets.  See Ms. Wolfe or Mrs. G to pick up your tickets as soon as possible. 

 

1. Hey Everyone!  It’s Spirit Week.  Show your school spirit by dressing up this week.  Today is Throw Back Day and Friday is SOSS School Spirit Day.  

 

1. Grade 12’s - please check your Teams. There is a link to the final voting page for Class Historians. Voting closes tomorrow (Friday) 

 

1. Go Skate Day is at the Small Wheels Park on Saturday June 21st. Come skate with us, or come watch. Events start at 12. Be sure to arrive early and sign up for skateboard contests. Win Prizes, have fun, and don’t forget to head over to the Oliver Community Centre to check out the After Party to check out SOSS’s own Mudrats and 20 Willow. See you there! 

 

1. Work Experience Students – your last day of work is today. Please make sure you drop off your thank you card and collect the yellow folders and QR codes back from your employer. You will be working in the library during your WEX block and all assignments are due next week by Wednesday.

 

1. This is a reminder that locker clean out will be next week. Additionally, please check out the lost and found to see if any of your stuff is there. 

 

1. Grade 11’s your vote is needed to decide what your grad hoodies will look like. Grade 11’s, check out teams for a link to your Grad hoodie survey. If you do not see it on teams then look around the school for a poster with the link. You have until Friday to vote.   

 

1. Our biggest birthday celebration of the year will be on Monday, June 16 in the counselling area at lunch for all June, July, and August birthdays. We look forward to seeing you all. 

 

1. Thank you to all of those who supported the grade 6’s freezie fundraiser yesterday. They made over $300 for their year-end trip.  

 

1. Today’s challenge is a test of skills.  Send two of your competitors from your team to the top field at 10:45 to compete in the challenge.  You may only send two competitors, so choose wisely.  Be prepared to test your football conditioning!  

 

1. All flag football teams, please ensure that you have your Flag/poster at the awards ceremony tomorrow.  The spirit activities will commence right after the awards ceremony with a parade of athletes.  Get ready for some fun and friendly competition!!
