  1. Attention SOSS Students, as we rapidly approach awards season, we need your help! Nominations are now open for YOU as students to put names forward for this year’s SOSS Citizenship Award – this award is aimed at recognizing other fellow students who inspire and support others through their actions and words. Nomination forms & criteria can be found with Ms. Koffler in the office. The deadline to nominate is May 9th so get those nominations in today!! 

 

  1. The Hornets Ultimate teams traveled to Summerland yesterday for a full day of games. The Sr. Squad posted a respectable 2-2 record with losses coming from Summerland and Kelowna Secondary in the morning. The Sr. Squad would come back strong in the afternoon with convincing wins against Seaton and Maggie to head home on a high note. Our Jr. Squad had a fantastic day finishing with a 3-1 record with wins against Summerland, Pen Hi and Osoyoos. The grade 8 squad continued their development by securing their 3rd win of the season against Osoyoos. Way to go Hornets! 

 

  1. Girls group will be at 12:05 today in the gathering room. 

 

  1. Chess and scrabble club during lunchtime in Rm. 103. 

 

  1. Today at lunch, the WORLD LINK CLUB meets in room 202. Snacks are provided, and participants get volunteer hours while learning about other cultures and languages. 

 

  1. Hey Grade 11’s your Grad Hoodies need some help. To date we have had one idea handed in. If you have an idea for your grad hoodie, sketch it up and send it to Mrs. Seminoff. Deadline for ideas is Friday April 25th.  Next meeting is Tuesday at lunch in room 105. 

 

  1. Congratulations to the Sr. Girls Soccer Team for their dominant 6-0 win over Maggie last night. The girls all played a strong game with goals from Kaeli Lester, Heera Buttar, Angela Jimenez Castaneda, Kismet Dhaliwal, Anissa Khodarahmi and Chloe Baptiste. Shout out to our players of the game Heera and Amélie! Great job girls!  Good luck in your home tournament this weekend! Go Hornets!

  1. Attention grads, just a reminder about scholarship deadlines tomorrow! 

 

  1. All grade 8, 9 and 10 classes should now proceed to the theatre for the Showcase assembly. Please leave all bags in your classroom.
