  1. Are you interested in languages, cultures, meeting new people and earning volunteer hours? Come to room 202 on Thursday March 13th at lunch to check out the new World Link Club. Snacks will be provided. 

 

  1. Gr 8 Boys Basketball – all members of the Gr 8 Boys basketball team who have not returned their uniforms to Mr Podmorow must do so today. 

 

  1. Attention March birthdays!! We will be celebrating you today in the counselling area at lunch, so please come by and get a treat.  

 

  1. Attention all students going on the Europe Trip next Spring Break – we will be having a meeting on Wednesday at lunch in the library.  

 

  1. Yoga Club is happening tomorrow from 3-4 in Mrs. Stopa’s classroom. See her if you have any questions. 

 

  1. On Friday, Ms. Martins’ Foods 8 class had the Chopped Cookie and Drink Challenges. It was                     a very tight competition between the top 3 kitchens who were all focused and working hard This was such a Fun Challenge, and the results are in.  Coming in 3rd place with their Blondie Brownie and Salted Caramel Milkshake was Kitchen #6 with Natalia Couture, Katie Gaskell and Kaylee McLeodIn 2nd place with their Lavander Lemon Cookie and Blueberry Mint Smoothie was Kitchen #1 made by, Danica Nemeth-Kyte and Mae Sheppard, and the winner of the Challenge goes to Kitchen #2, with members Armaan Gill, Vikram Gill, Landen Newstead and Luka Splane and their delicious Nutella Brownie and Vanilla Milkshake.  Congratulations to all of you for coming up with these tasty creationsMs. Martins would like to give a big Thank you to her amazing Chopped Challenge judges, Ms. Janda, Elliott Hill, Mr. Hill, Selena Vala and Payton Matthews Stay tuned for our next challenge!

  1. Attention SOSS students! This Friday, March 14th, the Mathematics Passion Club is celebrating Pi Day at lunch with fun activities, games, and two exciting contests. Test your memory in the Pi Digit Contest or team up with a friend for the Pie Eating Contest—both with a chance to win a $15 gift card! Sign-ups for the pie-eating contest are limited to Grade 12 students in teams of two. For more details and to sign up, visit the table in front of the Zen Den. Don’t miss out on the 3.14 fun—come celebrate Pi Day with us!

It is spirit week... there is a bake sale today and tomorrow as well as dress-up days, tomorrow is Anything-But-A-Backpack Day, Wednesday is School Colours, Thursday is Dress Like a Teacher (or teachers can dress like students), and Friday is PJ Day.
