  1. Grads – please check your Grad 2025 Teams for an important survey about the Dry Grad trip. Voting closes next week on Nov. 13 so make sure to submit your choice!   

 

  1. Grads – your Plant and Meat fundraiser has now begun. Links for ordering and payment are on the SOSS website or you can pick up paper order forms from the office. This is a great way to earn money towards your Grad fees - for each item sold, you will earn $5-7 off. Please see the Grad Teams for more information. 

 

  1. Basketball Referees – Staff members and Students in Gr 10-12 who are interested in being trained as a basketball referees are asked to see Mr Pod for more information. 

 

  1. URGENT: Volleyball Referees – Tuc El Nuit and OES are looking for volunteer volleyball referees for Thursday, Nov 21st – 4 Referees are needed – 2 at OES and at 2 at TEN from 3-4pm. If you have refereed and are able to help, please see Mr. Pod. 

 

  1. With Remembrance Day only one day away, we would like to invite staff and students to contribute to a special Remembrance Day Display. Please help us recognize all those who have served their country or those who are living a life of service, by writing their name on a special poppy which can be picked up from Mrs. Wolfe at the library. The Remembrance Day Assembly will take place on the south lawn at 10:25am on Friday, November 8th. Please dress appropriately. The assembly will be about 35 minutes. 

 

  1. Any students interested in the Legion contest, please pick up an entry form from the office. All entries are due back to the office by November 12th. 

 

  1. Work Experience Students – check your Teams for a chat message about your midterm mark. The final day to hand assignments in is Friday, November 8th. 

 

  1. Grade 11s and 12s – We are looking for Grade 11 and 12 students who enjoy math and want to make a difference by helping others. If you’re strong in math and interested in volunteering as a tutor, this is a great opportunity to support fellow students and earn volunteer hours at the same time. 

 

  1. The first Chopped Challenge of the year took place yesterday in Ms. Frank’s Foods 9/10 class and we are excited to announce the winners! In third place Ayla Irwin, Neera Brar, Emily Webb and Mar Ibanez Garcia, in second place Cameron Mackenzie, Lucas Lin and Josh Blondin, which means first place goes to Ethan Koteles, Logan Fletcher and Nihal Gill! Well done everyone and thank you to our judges Zephyr Pickell, Matthew Evans and Dee Shaw.

  1. There will be a grad committee meeting today at lunch in Room 109B. We will be talking about dry grad trip and the meat and plant fundraisers. All Grads are welcome. 

 

  1. For any Grade 8 girls interested in playing basketball this year, there will be a meeting tomorrow (Friday) in Room 109B at lunch.
