SOUTHERN OKANAGAN SECONDARY SCHOOL  

THURSDAY OCTOBER 31, 2024 

1. Happy Halloween!!  All colouring sheets need to be handed into the library today. 

1. Work Experience Students – mid-term assignments need to be handed in by next week (no later than Friday, November 8). Please look at your checklist at the DURING placement part to see what needs completing. 

1. School-wide pancake breakfast tomorrow! Bring your appetites!   

1. The Senior Field Hockey team played its last home game of the season today, defeating OKM 2-1. Our Hornets passed the ball so well that OKM was getting tired chasing them, and goalie Sarah defended the lead with some great saves.  

1. The senior girls volleyball team played their final league games last night. They handedly defeated Princeton in two sets, with excellent serving by Abby Wolfe and Paige Lougheed. Osoyoos came out strong and ended up beating the hornets, but they fought a strong game, with excellent attacks by Ava Kosaka and setting by Alana Guttormsson. A special congratulations to the grade 12s in their final match: Chloe Luypen, Maya Faugno, Mayera Soni, Jordyn Nelson, and Emily Seminoff.  

1. Lunchtime Volleyball cancelled today.  See you Monday in the small gym!
