- The Jr Boys Volleyball Team hosted their Spike Fest Volleyball tournament this past weekend. The boys finished 2nd in their pool Friday to advance to the championship round. On Saturday, they defeated Pen Hi in the quarter final - 2 sets to 1 and Immaculata in the semi-final 2 sets to 0. That put the boys in Championship Final versus a strong OK Mission Husky team where they battled hard in an inspired and action-packed match pushing the Huskies from the North 28-26 in set 2. Congratulations to the Jr Boys who finished in 2nd place in their 10-team home tournament. Go Hornets!!

- Hey SOSS – we are looking for anyone who is interested in helping put together this year’s Remembrance Day ceremony. This could be you if: you like history, are good with techie stuff, have good organizational skills, are comfortable being on stage, or just like giving back to your community. See Mrs. Stopa or Mrs. G if you’re interested.
- The Town of Oliver is looking to hear from the youth in this community. They are hosting a pizza night during their next council meeting on October 29th and would like some of you to attend! This is a great opportunity to learn what the town is doing to address current issues, as well as their future plans. If you are curious about local politics, or think there should be more services and facilities available for you, grab a friend and sign up outside the office or see Mrs. Stopa.
- October 28th (next Monday) Indigenous Grade 11 & 12 students are invited to join the “Strengthening Connections” presentation alongside SESS and OSS students.
