  1. Today in the Caf it is Pizza Day. 

 

  1. Next week Link Crew will be running a Spirit Day Olympic Event on May 31st.  There will be many different team competitive events like a hot dog eating contest, horse hurdles, four corners and more.  There will also be some other events like volleyball, slip n slide, spike ball and many others.  Leading up to spirit day, dress up throughout the week according to the different themes, as posted around the school and don’t forget to wear school colors for spirit day!  Sign up your team now on the sign-up sheets by the Zen Den. Can’t wait to see you there hornets! 

 

  1. It’s time for the fifth annual badminton championship! Think you have what it takes to rise to the top and challenge Mr. Khodarahmi and Mrs. McIntyre? Want to follow in the footsteps of greatness and become a legend like Dilshaan Dhailiwal and Mr. Hall who were last year’s champions? If you are up for this, find any partner from the school or teacher and sign up with Mr. Khodarahmi or Mrs. McIntyre as soon as you can. The one day championship tournament is open to grades 8-12 and will be right after school on Monday May 27th. 

 

  1. In honor of Multicultural week at SOSS, the grad class has planned a Holi event happening tomorrow Friday May 24th.  Holi is a traditional South Asian festival celebrated by throwing colored powder at each other. If you are interested in this event, you can sign up at lunch in front of the Zen den and buy your powder packets. Today is the last day to sign up so sign-up now and join in on the fun!     

 

  1. Attention all athletes.  The Athletics awards and banquet night is coming up on June 4th. Come pick up your ticket from Mrs. Wolfe in the library by tomorrow. 

 

  1. There will be a Prom Committee meeting today at lunch in Room 109B. We have some important decisions to make. New members are always welcome!  

 

  1. There will be a Grad Committee meeting Friday at lunch in Room 109B. We will be talking about the selection process for Valedictorian, Historian, guest speaker and exit songs for marching out on during Ceremony night...any Grads interested are welcome to attend. 

 

  1. Chess and Scrabble club at lunch time in Room 103 Learning Support room. 

 

  1. The big gym will be open from 7:30-8:30 on Wednesday and Friday. 

 

  1. Volleyball at lunch in the small gym wear proper shoes.
