- OES Track Meet – The OES track meet is May 8th. Mr Basso is looking for 10 more Gr 10-12 students to help with the various events that day. If you can help, please see Mr Podmorow.
- Today in the Caf it is Breakfast Sandwiches and Chicken noodle soup.
- Skateboard clubs' session day this week is Thursday May 2nd.
- Attention SOSS Students, as we are rapidly approaching awards season, we need your help! Nominations are now open for YOU to put names forward for this year’s SOSS Citizenship Award – this award is aimed at recognizing someone who inspires and supports their peers through their actions and words. Ballots can be found with Ms. Koffler in the office, and the deadline is May 17th.
- Hey SOSS! We are looking to see which grade can donate the most food for the 5055 food drive happening next week. There will be carts in the front entrance for each grade. Bring in what you can! The winning grade will win a special breakfast May 10th.
- Don’t forget to try out our Pay it forward board, located by the fishbowls upstairs. This board is your gateway to spreading kindness throughout our school community. Take a challenge from the board, do the challenge and write your name on the back of the card, then pass it to a friend. Try to get two names on your card before you hand it into the library for a chance to win a sweet prize. The more challenges you complete, the more likely you are to win the draw. The draw will take place on Friday, May 3rd. Join us in making kindness the norm at SOSS. Let's pay it forward and brighten each other's days!
- The Sr. Girls soccer team placed 5th in the Test of Mettle Tournament in Merritt last weekend. Great job, Hornets! Come out and cheer the team on today at 4pm for a home game versus Maggie!
- Hey Grade 11’s, your attention is needed to make edits on your Grad hoodies. If you want a say attend the meeting Tuesday at lunch in room 105.
