- Volleyball Referees – Mr McCallister from OES is looking for 4 students to referee Gr 6/7 games on Tuesday November 14th at 2:45. If you know how to referee volleyball and are able to help, please see Mr Podmorow today.
- The junior girls volleyball team played their first playoff match against SESS last night and came out with an incredible win in two sets. First set they won 25-3 and in the second 25-8. Wish them luck as they head to Osoyoos this Thursday. Go Hornets!
- For any grads wanting help with post secondary applications there will be a meeting in Room 109B at lunch on Thursday.
- Grade 8 girls - interested in playing basketball this season? There will be a meeting in Room 109B at lunch on Friday. Any girls who are interested in playing but can’t attend the meeting, please see Mrs. Burns.
- For all Sr. Boys interested in playing Basketball the first day of tryouts will be happening tonight at 6:30pm. Make sure you show up early, are changed, and ready to go.
- Movember is here! Movember is to raise awareness for men’s physical and mental health. The Link Crew is holding a moustache growing contest, if you would like to enter, let Mrs. Pod know asap. Happy Movember y’all!!

- Congratulations to the Grade 8 Girl’s volleyball team who completed their season last night at OSS. Although they were not able to get a win against Summerland Middle or KVR, they continued to show improvement and confidence. Well done girls and don’t forget the meeting at lunchtime in room 119!
- Homework Club in Gathering Room 3pm-4pm with Nick, all are welcome.
- An update from our Sr. Girls Field Hockey team who are currently competing at the Provincial Championships...After two hard-fought and tough losses on Monday, our team battled to victory twice yesterday beating Bryne Creek 5-0 and a 3-1 shootout victory over South Ridge. The team takes on South Kamloops this morning. Go Hornets!
- There will be a brief Grade 12 meeting in the library tomorrow morning at the start of Block D. Please head to the library after attendance.
- Last call for any students who are interested in learning about fly-fishing. See Mr Willms in the counselling area for information. This activity has a few spots left.
November 8 is Indigenous Veterans Day. The First Nations, Inuit and Métis people of Canada have a long and
proud tradition of military service to the country. Prior to 1994, Indigenous Veterans were not recognized in
Remembrance Day ceremonies. Today we acknowledge their service and contributions to Canada’s military
and Canada.
