  1. Today in the Caf it is Moroccan Chicken with Greek Salad and Red Pepper Soup and tomorrow will be Breakfast Sandwiches with hashbrowns and Broccoli Cheddar Soup. 

 

  1. The Student Voice Club will have their annual Retreat tomorrow during block B and lunch. The members of the club who registered for the Retreat will ask permission to leave class at 9:30 tomorrow morning and meet in the main foyer of the school.  

 

  1. ATTENTION Grade 12s... Do you know how to apply to post-secondary? There will be a tutorial on Thursday, September 28 at lunchtime in the libraryPlus, University of Alberta will be here on Friday September 29 at 1:30 in the library to share about their programming! 

 

  1. Congratulations to the Junior Girls Volleyball team that travelled to Mt. Sentinel for their first tournament over the weekend. They place 2nd out of 11 teams, beating Osoyoos to earn their spot to the finals! Everyone made amazing contributions throughout the weekend, and we are excited to see what this season brings. Well done, girls. 

 

  1. Grads helping with the Prom Venue selection, there will be a quick meeting at lunch in Room 105. Please have your information ready to share. 

 

  1. CLC 12 students - your first Teams assignment is due this Friday! Please see Mrs. Burns or Mrs. Russo with any questions. 

 

  1. The senior boys soccer team played their first games in almost a decadeThe boys worked hard and were great representatives of Hornet work ethicThe boys got better every game and were in the mix in both of their games on Friday but were unable to net the equalizing goalThe boys play at home on Tuesday against OSS and are off to Hope Thursday morning 

 

  1. The Junior Girls Field Hockey team participated in the Fall Festival last Friday and Saturday. A great effort was made by all members. The team faced tough competition against three Dr. Knox teams and J.L. Crowe. Meredith Lester played as a solid wall of defense the whole tournament and goals were scored by Vienna von Burg and Audery Noftle. The girls learned a lot this weekend and we can’t wait to see how they will progress throughout their season. 

 

  1. The Senior Field Hockey team won one, tied two, and lost one game in their home Fall Festival this past weekend. The team displayed an outstanding all-around team effort where everyone showed improvement. Goalie Kaylee Klassen allowed only two goals out of more than 20 shots.
