Tuesday September 12th , that’s today, there will be a meeting in the Gathering Space at lunch for all Indigenous Grade 12 students. Mr. Kitt will be our guest speaker and will be discussing Work Experience, along with dual credit programs, and answering any of your questions. Lunch will be provided.

Grade 8 girls volleyball – practice is Thursday at 3pm in the small gym. See you there!

Jr Boys Volleyball – All boys who have been trying out for the Jr Boys Volleyball team are invited to the final try-out session today from 4:30-6. This try-out will be held at OES Gym and all players are asked to meet there.

Grad Hoodies. Do you want one? Of course you do! Check out our school website. Remember to let us know what color you want and what name you want on your sleeve. You have a week to order, so order ASAP. Deadline is this Friday.

SOSS Hoodies and jackets! If you want one, The Student Voice Club will be pre-selling SOSS Hoodies and Jackets (shell style or wind-breaker) to students and staff. Order forms will be available soon. Stay tuned for more info!

The Student Voice Club meets today at lunch in room 207 and every Tuesday at lunch. What is Student Voice? This Club is interested in improving school spirit and connecting SOSS with the larger community. The club organizes projects to promote positive school culture and pride as a Hornet. It is open to all students in all grades at SOSS, and club members receive volunteer service hours, which looks good on a resume! Meetings are Tuesdays at lunch in room 207. Show up and bring your school spirit!

Hello grade 8 and 9 Outdoor Enthusiasts! There will be an informational meeting and sign up for anyone interested in the Gr. 8 and 9 Outdoor Club on Thursday at lunch in the cafeteria.

The Terry Fox run will be on Wednesday September 20 and during this week the leadership class will be raising money for cancer research. This year several teachers have volunteered to change their hair for the cause. See the pyramid poster at the front to see what they are doing. If we raise $5000 the teachers will be doing what they signed up for. Bring your donations and help raise the money to change the hair.
