  1. For those grade 9 students who are going on the Gardom Lake trip there is an opportunity for you to fundraise some of your fees. The Tickleberry’s fundraiser is available online or you can pick up order forms in the office. All orders and payments are due on May 12th. Please see Mrs. G or Ms. Smith with any questions. Happy Fundraising! 

 

  1. Reminder to all Grads, the District Authority Scholarship applications are due today. 

 

  1. Attention all Grads & Grade 11’s – Prom tickets are on sale today at lunch at the top of the stairs by the office. This is for a limited time so get them while they're hot. Next Wednesday is the deadline. The Prom Committee would also like to extend an invitation to grade 11’s to participate in prom this year. Tickets for grade 11’s will be available starting on Monday. See Mr. Burns or Mrs. Harrington if you need further information. 

 

  1. Visiting artist Dianne Gibson will be coming to do a special project after school in the art room on Monday April 24 and Tuesday April 25th from 3-4:30. She will be working with students to make a one of a kind sewing project using influences from her work with the Ocean’s Legacy project. Please come and see Ms. Kingsfield if you're interested in signing up, space is limited.

 

  1. Reminder to Grade 11’s that the Grad Hoodie meeting will be on Monday at lunch. 

 

  1. Today in the Caf it is Creamy Garlic Tortellini and Italian Wedding Soup and Monday will be Perogies with bacon and Goulash Soup. 

 

  1. If you’re in Grade 8 or 9 and love to be outside, the OUTDOOR club is heading out next Thursday to do wilderness survival training! Get a permission form from Mr. Willms and be prepared for outdoor FUN!  

 

  1. The date for the badminton tournament has been set for May 16th. If you have not signed up yet, please see Mrs. McIntyre or Mr. Khodarahmi. We will have practices at lunch on Mondays and Thursdays to train for the badminton tournament. Please come ready to play at the big gym, at lunch every Monday and Thursday. All are welcome even if you are not in the tournament. We will be working on skill development. 

 

  1. 3 on 3 basketball is coming. There will be 3 divisions: Girls grades 8-12, Recreational boys grades 8 and 9 and competitive boys grades 9-12. We will have a meeting on Tuesday at the beginning of lunch in the gymTeams must consist of 4 players, the games will be played during lunch starting at 11:25 on Tuesdays for Girls Division, Wednesdays for Competitive Boys Division and Fridays for Recreational Division. Get your teams together and come to the meeting on Tuesday April 25th at lunch in the gym 

 

  1. Ms. Frank’s quarter 3 Foods 9/10 Chopped Challenge took place yesterday. We would first like to thank our judges Chewie Ferguson, Donny Rehbein and Ryland Lebedoff. In 3rd place we have Cruz Nunes, Anden Moura and Nolan Cook with their delicious lemon cupcakes, in 2nd place Josh Allen, Leo Pedersen and Rocky Toon with their fantastic lemon coconut cream pie and the honour of 1st place goes to Bri Waines and Macka Shurvell with their dreamy lemon coconut bars! It was a great competition. Well done everyone!  

 

  1. And the Grade 8 Pizza Chopped Challenge in Ms. Martin’s class also took place yesterday day! In 3rd place we have Jude Splane, Issiah Teigen, Maya Kriesel and Nolan Casorso with a classic meat lovers! 2nd place goes to Imren Dhaliwal, Gabby Pietrobelli, Emmet Fernandes and Beatrix Issacksen with a spicy, Ranch chicken pizza and in 1st place we have Arpan Gill, Dania Sota-Williams and Abby Wolfe with their BBQ chicken pizza! Well done!
