  1. For those grade 9 students who are going on the Gardom Lake trip there is an opportunity for you to fundraise some of your fees. The Tickleberry’s fundraiser is available online or you can pick up order forms in the office. All orders and payments are due on May 12th. Happy Fundraising! 

 

  1. The Hornet’s Sr. Ultimate team travelled to Penticton for games against Summerland and Pen Hi last night. The first game against Summerland was a windy affair seeing both sides struggle in the windy conditions. The Hornets pulled it together to sneak out a 6-4 victory. During the second game against Pen Hi, the conditions were much more favorable, and the Hornet’s dominated in the 13-5 victory. The Hornets are traveling to Kelowna on Friday for a tournament against some of the best teams across the Okanagan. Way to go Hornets!  

 

  1. Reminder to all Grads, the District Authority Scholarship applications are due tomorrow. If you are applying, please be sure to speak with Mrs. Harrington or Mr. Kitt as soon as possible! 

 

  1. Attention all Grads – Prom tickets are on sale today at lunch at the top of the stairs by the office. This is for a limited time so get them while they're hot. 

 

  1. Calling all Hornet Homies. We are meeting at lunch today in room 117 to discuss actions moving forward for our incoming Grade 8s. We will start at 11:20 – see you there and bring a friend! 

 

  1. Visiting artist Dianne Gibson will be coming to do a special project after school in the art room on Monday April 24 and Tuesday April 25th from 3-4:30. She will be working with students to make a one of a kind sewing project using influences from her work with the Ocean’s Legacy project. Please come and see Ms. Kingsfield if you're interested in signing up, space is limited. 

 

  1. Calling all Grade 11’s. Grad Hoodie meeting has been moved to Monday at lunch. 

 

  1. Today in the Caf it is Pizza Day and tomorrow is Creamy Garlic Tortellini and Italian Wedding Soup. 

 

  1. If you’re in Grade 8 or 9 and love to be outside, the OUTDOOR club is heading out next Thursday to do wilderness survival training! Get a permission form from Mr. Willms and be prepared for outdoor FUN!  

 

  1. Volleyball in the small gym at lunch today. 

 

  1. Anyone interested in practicing badminton skills, please arrive at the big gym right at the beginning of lunch ready.

  1. Yesterday the Sr. Soccer team took on Keremeos with a 0-0 tie. Tomorrow and Saturday SOSS is hosting a tournament, we hope you come out and support the team!
