SOUTHERN OKANAGAN SECONDARY SCHOOL  

         Monday March 13, 2023 

 

1. Today in the Caf it is Cauliflower Parmesan bites, Caesar salad, baked chicken and roasted red pepper Soup and tomorrow will be BBQ Chicken Flatbread and Ham soup. 

  

1. Today we are having a presentation during lunch hour in the gathering space for Indigenous Students in grades 10-12. Are you interested in learning about how to save money? When and how to do taxes? How deductions on your cheques work? OIB Finance controller Joyce Lavalee is happy to answer any questions you may have about financial literacy. Lunch will be provided. We are also asking that all students attending OIB’s Spring Break Program please join as we will be sharing important information about the program. Limlemt. 

 

1. Ultimate practice in the big gym today, 3:00 – 4:30 pm.  

 

1. D&D club today after school. There will be no club tomorrow.  

 

1. Art Club at 2:45 in the Art Room 

 

1. Homework Club today 2:45-4:00pm in the Gathering Room open to all. 

 

1. Snack shack is open today!  Come on down for a snack between A & B Block 

 

1. Volleyball in the small gym at lunch today. 

 

1. Grads: There will be a Grad committee meeting tomorrow Tuesday March 14 in room 105 at 11:15 AM. Lots to discuss and all Grads are welcome to attend. 

 

1. If you’re in grade 8 or 9 and are planning to go ice-fishing tomorrow afternoon with the outdoor club, please make sure your permission forms are handed in today. If you have questions, see Mr. Willms. 

 

1. A huge shout out to Mrs. Pod’s musical theatre class for putting on an amazing show over the weekend. Thanks to Mrs. G, Mr. Kitt, Mr. Podmorow and all of the other staff members who were behind the scenes that put in a massive amount of volunteer hours to make the production happen. And the student performers were fantastic and you all made the SOSS community proud!
