  1. Cold and Flu season is upon us in a big way! To keep our community healthy please wash or sanitize your hands several times a day. If you are sick, we’ll miss you, but we want you to stay home until you are feeling well. Connect with your teachers via teams while you get healthy at home. 

 

  1. Elbow bumps are back! Do you know someone who is awesome and you want to let them know? Is someone being helpful, putting in a great effort, being wonderful, taking care of others, or anything else worth celebrating or showing gratitude for then let Ms. Smith or Mr. Burns know and we’ll be sure to give an elbow bump to the deserving person! 

 

  1. Sr Boys Basketball – All boys in Gr 11 and 12 who are interested in trying out for the Sr Boys basketball team are invited to the tryouts today from 6-8pm.  

 

  1. Jr girls basketball players are reminded of their practice today at 4:30 in the main gym and tomorrow at 3pm in small gym. 

 

  1. Today in the Caf it is veggie chow Mein and sweet and sour pork, and tomorrow is Pizza Day. 

 

  1. Hello SOSS, Link crew is hosting a night in Hollywood dance on Thursday November 24th, tickets will be on sale everyday at lunch until Thursday November 24th. We’re selling VIP tickets for 12 dollars and regular admission tickets for 8 dollars. There are only 40 VIP tickets available so make sure you get your tickets soon! Just a quick reminder, you must attend school on the day of the dance in order to attend the dance. 

 

  1. Grads – did you drop off a meat fundraiser form with a cheque from Peter Kraus this morningIf so, please see Mrs. Wilkie in the accounting office? 

 

  1. Hey Hot Chocolate Lovers...we will be going green with our morning hot chocolate. In the coming days we will be phasing out paper cups and using ceramic mugs. When you finish your hot chocolate, all you need to do is return your mug to the rack under the snack cart outside of the counseling area. You are also welcome to bring your own mug to further the green cause. 

 

  1. For any Grade 8 girls interested in playing basketball this year, there will be a meeting in Room 105 (Mrs. Seminoff’s room) Friday at lunch. 

 

  1. CLC Studentshave you finished your 30 hours yet? There are some volunteer opportunities coming up in the school. See Mrs. Burns for more information. 

 

  1. The PAC will open the Snack Shack today at lunch. Come down and check out the goodies. 

 

  1. Grade 10 students – please get your signed Career Fair permission forms back to your Block A teachers asap. There are extra forms in the office if needed.
