SOUTHERN OKANAGAN SECONDARY SCHOOL 

                   Wednesday September 28, 2022.

 

  1. Attention all Students with Indigenous Ancestry: If you are interested in signing up for Grizzly Crew group or Snklip Crew group formally known as Boys and Girls group, please come to the gathering room and grab a form and sign up.  You must have a form filled out by a parent or guardian if you want to participate.  You have until September 29th to sign up.  All forms must be handed in no later than Monday October 3rd. 

 

  1. Grade 8 girls volleyball practice today 3:00 – 4:30pm 

 

  1. There is no service in the Caf today as it is early dismissal classes are out at 11:57 and tomorrow is Pizza Day and there is no school on Friday for National Truth and Reconciliation Day. 

 

  1. CLC Assignment #1 is due today. Please submit it to Mrs. Burns on Teams if you haven’t done so already. 

 

  1. Listen up Hornet Homies! All Hornet Homies...there will be a VERY IMPORTANT meeting tomorrow at lunch in room 117. If you have come to any meetings this year or last, you should be a part of the Teams group. Please check your Teams ASAP and let Ms Seymour know if you’re not on it, or if you are on the Team, but are not longer able to be a Homie and she will remove you. Thanks and see you Thursday. Spread the word amongst your fellow Hornet Homies 

 

  1. Musical Theatre this Thursday at lunch in the Drama Room. 

 

  1. Any students who would like to get some volunteer hours please see Mrs. Pod ASAP.  The volunteers are needed for this Friday. I need names by the end of the day please. 

 

  1. If you signed up for The Right to Play Leadership please get your forms to tara. 

 

  1. The Snack Shack is now open between A & B block or 9:48 – 9:53 every day. Cash only, please. Come on down for a snack, if you can! 

 

  1. The junior field hockey team played their first league game against Summerland yesterday. The team played well and didn’t allow a single shot on net. The match ended in a scoreless tie with strong performances from Lilah Smith, Meredith Lester and Olivia Goncalves. Well done to all our players! 

 

  1. All Link Crew students who are helping with the OES Terry Fox run, please sign out at the office at 10:20 and meet Mrs. Rowland at the OES office. Thank you!
