SOUTHERN OKANAGAN SECONDARY SCHOOL 

                    Friday September 23, 2022. 

 

  1. The Mental Health booster program with Mrs. Stopa is hoping to start next week. Interested students please complete a quick two-question survey by checking your school email or scanning the QR code in the window of Room 109. If you are not sure about the program, or how to access the survey please see Mrs. Stopa or send a message using Teams. 

 

  1. Students traveling to Osoyoos with Ms. Shione and Ms. Kingsfield today after lunch please meet in the back parking lot right after lunch.  

 

  1. Do you need an orange shirt for Orange Shirt Day next week? Or a snazzy button?? Mrs. Wilkie has some shirts for $10 and buttons for $2 in the Accounting Office. First come, first served! 

 

  1. Good luck to the Junior and Senior field hockey teams!! Juniors play at 11:15 and 3:45 today; the Seniors play at 9:15 and 4:45. Come out and cheer on your teams!  

 

  1. The Sr Boys and girls host their vball tournament this weekend. Girls play at 1:30 in the Big gym and 2:40 in the small gym and the boys play at 12:20 and 2:40 on Court 2 in the big gym. 

 

  1. SAGA is meeting in Ms. Shione’s room, room 205, at lunch today!

Attention all Students with Indigenous Ancestry: If you are interested in signing up for Grizzly Crew group or Snklip Crew group formally known as Boys and Girls group, please come to the gathering room and grab a form and sign up. You must have a form filled out by a parent or guardian if you want to participate. You have until September 29th to sign up. All forms must be handed in no later than Monday October 3rd. 

 

  1. Today in the Caf it is Macaroni and Cheese and Tomato Basil Soup and Monday will be Chicken Ranch Wraps. 

 

  1. If you a looking to make some money officiating volleyball in the South Okanagan, there will be an online ref clinic next week. If you’re interested please see Mr. Kitt or Mr. Podmorow. 

 

  1. It has come to our attention that we are not being good community partners. The manager from 7-11 is quite frustrated with the amount of theft that is going on. We need to do better. This is not ok. If you have any information related to this, please contact Mrs. Harrington.
