  1. Do you know someone who inspires and supports their peers through their actions and words? As some of you know, it is award season around SOSS and we are looking to recognize those students who make this place a great place for staff and students alike. The 2021-22 Citizenship Award is open for nominations – nomination forms, including the finer details and the full criteria can be found in the office with Ms. Koffler. The deadline for nomination is tomorrow Friday May 20th. This is an award that has a long tradition and is held in high regard at SOSS, we ask that all nominators keep that in mind when they put names forward. 

 

  1. SOSS Celebration of Athletics 2022 – Good Morning Hornets! Did you play on one or more teams at SOSS this year? Are you ready for an evening filled with positive recognition, a great dinner, and ridiculous fun?  You’re in luck! You are invited to the 2022 Celebration of Athletics on Thursday, June 2nd.   All SOSS athletes are asked to pick up their ticket to this year’s celebration in the library beginning on Tuesday May 24th. We look forward to seeing all of you there! Go Hornets!     

 

  1. Today is homework club in the gathering room from 2:45 to 3:45 

 

  1. Yoga Club will be starting up after the long weekend. Our first session will be on Tuesday, May 24th in the Drama Room. See Mrs Stopa or Phi Thai if you are interested or have any questions! 

 

  1. Any students that expressed interest in the Europe Trip but were unable to attend the parent meeting last night must connect with Mrs. G or Mrs. Stopa today if they haven’t already done so.  

 

  1. Dazzling Twang Magic club today at lunch in room 907. 

 

  1. Please remember to sign your team up for the Quidditch tournament. Sign up is by the PE office!

 

  1. There are messages in the Library for Phat Thai, Jessie Dhillon and Katie Cleave. 

 

  1. Today in the Caf – we are celebrating multicultural week - it is Vietnamese Salad Rolls, Lemongrass Chicken and Bubble Tea and tomorrow is Pizza Day.  

 

  1. Also, tomorrow is MULTICULTURAL DRESS-UP DAY. Wear the fashion or traditional clothes of your heritage to recognize your ancestry on Friday. Multicultural Week continues next week, and there will be cultural meals in the Caf and another DREASS-UP DAY next Friday.  

 

  1. Attention SOSS, the Yearbook for 2021-22 is now on sale! You can purchase them online for $20.00 or see Ms. Wilkie in the Accounting office to pay. The last day to pay and order is this Monday May 23rd.
