SOUTHERN OKANAGAN SECONDARY SCHOOL 

                      Thursday May 12, 2022. 

1. Are you a champion? Do you love to feel the wind through your hair as you ride your broomstick through the skies of Oliver? Are you described as Magical? Gifted? Or as a Bludger? If you are, or want to be any of these things, get 8-10 people together and test your prowess at the SOSS Quest for Quidditch supremacy. Have your team captain sign up is on the PE office door and prepare to battle for the title of the Giant golden snitch. Any questions please see a PE teacher, Mrs. Lang and or Mrs. Seminoff. Watch the TVs around the school for more information. All teams must be coed. 

1. Today is homework club in the gathering room from 2:45 to 3:45. 

1. Dazzling Twang Magic club today at lunch in room 907. 

1. Ultimate practice today after school 3:00 – 4:30 pm.

1. Today in the Caf it is Pizza Day and tomorrow is Duck/Pork Tacos and Chicken Tortilla Soup. 

1. Do you know someone who inspires and supports their peers through their actions and words? As some of you know, it is award season around SOSS and we are looking to recognize those students who make this place a great place for staff and students alike. The 2021-22 Citizenship Award is open for nominations – nomination forms, including the finer details and the full criteria can be found in the office with Ms. Koffler. The deadline for nomination is Friday May 20th. This is an award that has a long tradition and is held in high regard at SOSS, we ask that all nominators keep that in mind when they put names forward. 

1. Grads of 2022, now on the Teams chat are two links, one for the most likely to’s/superlatives, and another one for grad write-ups/quotes, both are for the yearbook. They're both due by tomorrow May 13th. Direct all questions to Katie Cleave.
