SOUTHERN OKANAGAN SECONDARY SCHOOL 

                      Friday May 6, 2022. 

 

  1. Art Club after school today in the art room and there will be homework club in the gathering room from 2:45 to 3:45 pm 

 

  1. The Hornets Ultimate Team competed against Pen Hi and Summerland Secondary on Friday afternoon. The Hornets dominated their first game 15 - 6 against Pen Hi in front of an energetic home crowd. Clutch performances by Kaylee Klassen, Phat Thai and Jesse Wyatt helped the Hornets pull out the W. Their second game against Summerland was a close match up to halftime. Unfortunately, the Hornets could not match Summerland's intensity in the second half, losing by a final score of 15 – 7. Thank you to all staff and students who came out to support your Hornets! Reminder of practice today from 3:00 – 4:30.  

 

  1. Late bus runs today, pick up is at 4:45 and goes to OK Falls. 

 

  1. Indigenous Leadership meeting in the gathering room at 10:40 

 

  1. Beading is switched to Mondays at lunch in the gathering room! Today is beading, open to all! See you at 11:11am in the Gathering room for beading! 

 

  1. Pickleball club at the big gym. See you at 11:11 

 

  1. Attention all grade 8 through 11s. Ms Smith and Ms Seymour will be hosting another gathering of all those interested in co-creating and facilitating the incoming Grade 8 buddy system. Task #1 – creating a cooler name! Join us Wednesday in room 117 (in the Science area) to resolve this and other pressing issues to help our incoming Grade 8s feel welcome at SOSS. All are invited to join! 

 

  1. Today in the Caf it is Coconut Thia Borscht, a limited amount of pizza subs and Italian Sausage Penne. 

 

  1. There will be stick game practice in the gathering room today, everyone is welcome to attend
