SOUTHERN OKANAGAN SECONDARY SCHOOL

  1. Dazzling Twang Magic club today at lunch in room 907.  This week will be a good one!! 

 

  1. The Ultimate Frisbee Team will be traveling to Pen Hi this afternoon to take on the Lakers on their home turf. Players a reminder to be changed and ready to depart the school in the back parking lot by 3:00 pm.  

 

  1. Today in the Caf it is Buffalo Turkey Wraps and Cream of Mushroom soup and tomorrow is Pizza Day. 

 

  1. Attention grads of SOSS!!  Prom tickets are on sale all this week at lunch by the Zen Den. Tickets are $65 dollars.  They are for Grads and their dates only.  Please contact a member of the Grad Committee with any questions.  We hope to see you there! 

 

  1. Numeracy and Literacy assessments are scheduled for next week. All grade 10s are scheduled to write the Numeracy 10 assessment. Session lists are posted on the Zen Den window, it is your responsibility to find the date and time of your scheduled session. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Koffler in the office. 

 

  1. Grade 9 students...We now have 35 campers for Gardom Lake and we are going to have an amazing time! Are you going to join us? Reminder that money and permission slips are due TOMORROW! Don’t wait another minute to get signed up to go! Text home RIGHT NOW and remind your adults! Please pay Ms. Matthews in the finance office and drop your permission forms off with Ms. Matthews or Mrs. Koffler in the office. See you at the lake!

Congratulations to Ms. Martins Foods 8 Class, Pizza Challenge winners. 1st Place went to the delicious Buffalo Chicken Ranch, made by Olivia Goncalves, Faith Klone, Harnoor Brar, Ishmeet Dhaliwal and Kismet Dhaliwal2nd Place went to the Pepperoni Deluxe made by Kaeden George, Kai Louie and Eric Brockholm, and 3rd place went to the Spinach Spice pizza made by Sophie Miller and Taytene Prince. Special thanks to Gurveer Toor and Jayleigh Cobb for helping with the judging. Good luck grade 8s in your new quarter 4 electives and thanks for a great term!
