SOUTHERN OKANAGAN SECONDARY SCHOOL 

                        Monday April 11, 2022. 

 

 

  1. Attention to anyone interested in playing pickleball for fun this spring. Mrs. McIntyre and Mrs. Windley and Mr. Schulting will be organizing a fun pickleball team to start next week. Please meet in room 118 at lunch today for a quick meeting.

  1. Jr Boys Basketball – Attention Jr Boys Basketball players. Many of you have not handed in your uniforms. Please find Mr Podmorow and hand in all your uniforms today 
     
  1. Ultimate practice today from 3:00 – 4:30. Also, a reminder to pay your players' fees for the season with Ms. Matthews. 

 

  1. Skateboard club is back! Pick up your permission form outside Room 206 and return to Mr. Mckinnon. Our first session is tomorrow.  Bring your permission form, helmet and your skateboard to school tomorrow. 
     
  1. Today in the Caf it is Chicken Enchiladas and Red Pepper Corn Chowder and tomorrow will be Cobb Salads and snacks and Wednesday is Ginger Beef with Chow Mein and Wonton Soup. 

 

  1. The April writing of the Literacy 10 and 12 as well as the Numeracy 10 Ministry of Education exams will be held the week of April 25-29. Students who need to write these exams - there will be a schedule posted outside the office next week. 

 

  1. Attention Grads, please complete your Crossing the Stage Grad Writeup by this Friday, April 15th. The link to the online form is on the Grad 22 Teams account. See Mrs. Koffler if you need to make any changes after submitting. 
     
  1. Today in the Gathering room we have our first stick games practice! We will have treats for all participants!  If you did not sign up, do not fret, you can still join us at lunch today!

  1. Garbage outside is getting out of hand and the area around the smoke pit is particularly shocking! Those that are leaving their garbage to be taken care of by someone else will be handed gloves and a garbage bag and be given the opportunity to clean garbage around the whole school! Please be responsible for getting your garbage into a garbage can! Show a little pride in your school and yourself and take care of business.  

 

  1. Reminder: The Musical Theatre Celebration is this Wednesday at 5pm in the atrium.
