- There is a coloring contest running until Wednesday March 16th. Examples are in the display case outside the science wing and blank entries can be picked up at the office. Completed submissions should be dropped off in the art room or put in Ms. Kingsfield’s mailbox. There are 3 prizes to be won!
- Today is homework club in the gathering room from 2:45 to 4:00.
- Today in the Caf it is Korean beef bowls, jalapeno cornbread muffins and Thai Pumpkin Soup and tomorrow is Pizza Day.
- Now for a special announcement for all staff of SOSS... Mr. Wulfrlinger and Ms. Metlewsky have been voted off the island.
- The musical production of Oliver! Starts today! If you haven’t gotten your tickets yet you better hurry!! Tickets are available here at SOSS in the library.
- Any students interested in joining the golf team this year, come to the counselling center today at the beginning of lunch for a brief, but important meeting.
- The Grade 10 and 12 Student Learning Surveys continue today. Ms. Metlewsky’s Law 12 class please go to room 906 after the announcements and there will be a call for all the Gr 10 and 12 students who missed the survey on Tuesday at 10 AM. The afternoon in Room 124 will be Mr. Schulting’s Math 10, Ms. Arnason’s Gr. 10 French students and Ms. Kuehn’s Bridges students.
- SOSS Grads, the following scholarship applications are available online or in the office: Francis Family, Oliver Kiwanis, and the District Authority Scholarship. See Mrs. Koffler in the office if you have any questions.
The Student Voice Club is collecting items for women in need with the SHE-DRIVE. Their contest is: GUESS THE CANDIES IN THE JAR. Buy your GUESSES in the ATRIUM at lunch. Also, you can donate essential items in the front foyer that will go to women in need. The Club is grateful for your support and for their sponsor: BUY LOW FOODS.
