- There is a coloring contest running until Wednesday March 16th. Examples are in the display case outside the science wing and blank entries can be picked up at the office. Completed submissions should be dropped off in the art room or put in Ms. Kingsfield’s mailbox. There are 3 prizes to be won!
- The Student Voice Club meets at lunch today in room 207.
- Hey! Today is International Women’s Day. That’s right! It’s a day to recognize the struggles and successes of women in history and the women in our lives too. So, maybe go ahead and thank a woman in your life today!
- The Student Voice Club is collecting items for women in need on International Women’s Day with the SHE-DRIVE. Their contest is: GUESS THE CANDIES IN THE JAR. Buy your GUESSES in the ATRIUM at lunch. Also, you can donate essential items in the front foyer that will go to women in need. The Club is grateful for your support and for their sponsor: BUY LOW FOODS.
- Today is homework club in the gathering room from 2:45 to 4:00.
- Today in the Gathering Room at Lunch is Beading!!! Please join if you’re interested! It’s every Tuesday!
- Today in the Caf it is Spaghetti with meat Sauce and Butternut Squash Soup tomorrow will be Cobb Salads and snacks and Thursday will be Korean beef with veggies and Thai Pumpkin Soup.
- Now for a special announcement for all staff of SOSS... Ms. Stopa and Ms. Hesselgrave have been voted off the island.
- The musical production of Oliver! Starts on Thursday! If you haven’t gotten your tickets yet you better hurry!! Tickets are now on sale and are available here at SOSS in the library.
- Today is the start of the Gr 10 and 12 Student Learning Surveys. The information gathered from the information you provide helps the school plan and organize student learning in the future. A schedule has been posted outside of the office and today’s classes participating have been provided to teachers please wait to be called down to your computer lab.
