  1. Congratulations to the grade 8 girls basketball team as they represented the South Okanagan at the Provincials last week. The girls lost to MEI in the home opener 87-18 and lost 49-22 to Glenbrook. They worked hard and played with determination, coming up short against Howe, 32-16. Van Tech was their final game. They never gave up, but fatigue and injury were just too much. Although the team did not end up on the winning side of things, they represented the South Okanagan with pride and “never quit” attitude. We are looking forward to a bright future of basketball at SOSS.

  1. Also congrats to the Gr. 8 boys bball team on repping SD 53 and SOSS. The boys played hard and faced the best teams in the Province and were competitive in every game. Jerseys are due into Mr. Burns this week. Please make sure they are washed before returning them!

The BC Boys Basketball website will have links to the official tournament bracket for the 2A Sr Boys with all the games times for each of the days.
