SOUTHERN OKANAGAN SECONDARY SCHOOL

1. The Student Voice Club has extended it MERCH SALE of School Clothing until the end of the week. The shipping for items will be in January, due to the floods. You can order on-line or in the main office this week.  

 

1. The Elbow Bump Campaign is here for all students and staff to elbow bump anyone in our SOSS community. If you would like to celebrate, thank, or appreciate someone for their kindness, accomplishments, support, personal triumphs, etc. then please see Ms. Smith or Mr. Burns to make a plan to Elbow Bump your deserving recipient. Let’s celebrate the awesome that is happening around us every day! 

 

1. A reminder to grade 11 and 12 students that The University of Alberta will be here at 12:05. Please check in with your teachers and come down to the library. 

 

1. Today in the Caf it is cold service and tomorrow will be Italian Sausage Penne and Broccoli Cheddar Soup. 

 

1. The Gr. 8 boys basketball team will practice today from 3-4:30 PM in the big gym. 

 

1. Gr. 8-10 girls looking to play club volleyball, see the information sheets on the Phys Ed window or outside the Fishbowl. You can also see Mr. Podmorow or Mr. Burns for more information. 

 

1. Please bring in new toys, arts and crafts to the gathering room for share the spirit fundraiser! Your name will be entered into a draw for prizes! 

 

1. The winner of best selfie with our school elf is Kate Noftle, please come down to the office to receive your prize. This week’s challenge is best selfie, send your photos to Gina Houle on teams to enter to win daily prizes.  

 

1. Attention Grads – we need your assistance with the meat and flower pick up this Friday from 3-6:00 PM. Please see Mr. Kitt or Mr. Burns to sign up. Thanks! 

 

1. Oliver! Full Cast Rehearsal Today – 3:00-4:30 A schedule for the next two weeks will be posted today.

The winner of the Classroom challenge is Ms. Laver's class, enjoy your prize!  Now for today's Advent Calendar Challenge: Today we want you to make a unique Christmas Tree Ornament.  Please have your ornament to Mrs. G and Mrs. Wolfe in the library by the end of lunchtime today. The Best and most unique will win the advent calendar Prize.
