SOUTHERN OKANAGAN SECONDARY SCHOOL 

             Friday November 26, 2021. 

 

  1. Attention SOSS for the week of December 13th to 17th there will be an Escape room!  Get a team of 5-7 players together and sign up on the sign up sheet on the Fishbowl by the office. 

 

  1. Basketball Score Keepers – All students in Gr 9-12 interested in being a basketball score keeper this season, are asked to attend a mandatory training session at 11:15 today in the main gym.  

 

  1. Sr Girls Volleyball – All members of the Sr Girls Volleyball team are reminded to please turn in their uniforms to Mr. Podmorow by today. 

 

  1. All member of the Grade 8 boys volleyball team are reminded to please return in their uniforms to Mr. Baptiste by Monday. 

 

  1. The Senior Boys Basketball team has a quick but important meeting today at lunch by the big gym. 

 

  1. Today in the Caf it is Pizza Day, plus chocolate banana desserts. Monday will be Lemongrass Beef, Salad rolls with peanut sauce, Bubble Tea/Vietnamese Iced Coffee. 

 

  1. Field hockey players wishing to sign out sticks over the winter may do so today or Monday morning.   Players are also reminded that today is the last day to purchase a hoodie.   

 

  1. If you had Photo retakes done, please see Mrs. Wolfe in the Library for your photo id. 

 

  1. Rehearsal for Oliver on Monday will be act 2 speaking actors only. Thursday will be full cast. Keep practicing and listening to the music!    

 

  1. It’s that time again!!  The Library Advent Calendar Game starts on Monday!!  Listen very carefully to the morning announcements.  This year we have some really fun games planned!  We have some awesome prizes as well.  You may only claim one prize during the game.  So get your game faces on and lets have some Christmas fun!   

 

  1. Indigenous Leadership is hosting a Share the Spirit Drive!! Please bring in new toys, arts and crafts, and toiletry items to the Gathering Room. Items are being raised for the Share the Spirit through Desert Sun and for the SOSS toy cupboard. Each item gets your name into a raffle draw for gift cards to places like 7-11, Tim Horton's, and subway!  

 

  1. Attention Indigenous grade 10 11, and 12’s if you would like to participate in the day on the land field trip you need to get a form from the gathering room today. The forms will need to be returned by Monday at the latest! 

 

  1. South Okanagan Volleyball Club will be offering a club season this year for students in Gr. 8, 9 and 10. For more information see the sheets posted on the Phys Ed window, counselling room and the Fishbowl.
