SOUTHERN OKANAGAN SECONDARY SCHOOL 

               Wednesday November 17, 2021. 

 

  1. There will be homework club in the gathering room from 2:45 to 4:00. 

 

  1. The Elbow Bump Campaign is here for all students and staff to elbow bump anyone in our SOSS community. If you would like to celebrate someone here at SOSS, please see or e-mail Ms. Smith or Mr. Burns. 

 

  1. Today in the Caf it will be Santa Fe Chicken, Corn Chowder and Chocolate Mousse for dessert and Friday is Pizza Day. 

 

  1. Junior girls Basketball practice today at 3pm Junior Boys at 4:30. 

 

  1. Grade 8 Boys basketball will have a quick meeting in the gym today right at lunch. The first gym time will run tomorrow from 3-4 PM and the sign up sheet is posted on the PE office window. See Mr. Burns if you cannot attend. 

 

  1. Today is Sinkleep sisters group in the gathering room at 1:15, teachers please excuse girls group members at this time. We have room for 12 students, so it’s first come first serve if your forms are in. 

 

  1. Grads...We hear that some of you are feeling overwhelmed and overstressed with school, the processes of applying for post-secondary, managing courses, managing demands of grade 12, CLC, etc. Your grad mentors are holding a meeting next Thursday, November 25 to try and help you with some of these struggles. This will be a lunch time meeting so please sign up in the office as we’ll supply pizza. This meeting is for you to try to help to alleviate some of your stress. (read daily until Nov. 25th please) 

 

  1. There will be a brief but important meeting for all you-learn cross-enrolled students today at lunch in room 105. Please see list posted beside the announcements.
