SOUTHERN OKANAGAN SECONDARY SCHOOL
Wednesday November 10, 2021.
- Reminder there is no School tomorrow in honor of Remembrance Day.
- Today is homework club in the gathering room from 2:45 to 4:00.
- The Gr. 8 Boys Volleyball team had their first round of playoffs yesterday against Princeton and Skaha. The boys came out strong and quickly beat Princeton in two sets. Skaha beat Princeton in the Second match, so it was a do or die scenario for the boys and they would need to beat Skaha in order to advance to the Semi Finals. It was a close first set, but Skaha gained the upper hand and they beat the hornets 25-22. Then in the second set the boys came out flat and were trailing 1-9, but they were able to claw back and bring the game back to within 3 points and it was 20-23. Due to the slow start Skaha had the advantage and they eventually took the win in the second set. The boys should be congratulated on their great season and the improvement they have all shown since they first came out in September.
