SOUTHERN OKANAGAN SECONDARY SCHOOL 

               Monday November 8, 2021. 

1. Art Club after school today in the art room. 

1. There will be homework club in the gathering room from 2:45 to 4:00 pm from Monday to Thursday.  

1. Late bus runs today, pick up is at 4:45 and goes to OK Falls. 

1. The Student Voice Club meets Tuesdays at lunchtime. Tomorrow, the Student Voice Club will be preparing their school Merch Orders and organizing their November Club Retreat. All members are requested to attend the club meeting tomorrow at lunch in room 207. And new members are always welcome to join the Student Voice Club.  

1. This week in the Caf we are focusing on food from local BC producers.  Take a Bite out of BC is a program that connects local producers to schools.  Each week the BC Agriculture in the classroom Foundation donates local produce to schools (so the awesome fruit you enjoy on a weekly basis is donated by them).  They have worked with professional chefs to develop recipes that focus on local produce.  The items served in the Caf this week will be based on these recipes and will have locally sourced products, such as meat from Black Sage Butcher in Oliver BC, local organic garlic, local squash provided by our very own, Sara Shaw, as well as apples and pears from local Okanagan growers.  If you have any ideas for locally sourced products or questions, please swing by the Cafeteria. 

1. Today in the Caf it is BC Ham, Apple Cheddar Paninis, Sausage Gnocchi Soup with Apple Crisp for dessert.  Wednesday will be BC Meatballs with Pasta, Butternut Squash Soup with Apple Blondies for dessert.  Friday is Pizza Day.
