SOUTHERN OKANAGAN SECONDARY SCHOOL 

Thursday  October 14, 2021. 

 

1. Today in the Caf it will be Shwarma wraps and Thai Coconut Curry Soup and tomorrow is Pizza Day. 

 

1. All students who took art in the second semester last year please come to the art room to collect your projects. Projects will be held until Monday Oct. 18th. 

 

1. Grade 8 Girls volleyball at 3 and Senior Girls volleyball at 4:30 today. 

 

1. The Band Room will be open today at lunch for students. 

 

1. Reminder to the Jr. Girls volleyball team that we are leaving for Princeton for games today @ 2:00 sharp in the back parking lot. Players are excused from class at 1:45 

 

1. 2 Reminders from your vice-principals this morning...Number 1 – Please remember that the smoke pit is NEVER open during class time, even when you’re on a break. Lunch, morning and after school are the only times to be in the smoke pit. Number 2 – the garbage in the school and around the school is not ok. Please be sure to clean up after yourselves, and make sure any space you leave is cleaner than when you arrived. Thanks for showing such pride in your school!

1. Musical Theatre Class today at Lunch in the Drama Room.  Attendance for all enrolled in the    class is mandatory.  The class will take all of lunch so bring your food! See you then! 

 

1. Senior Field Hockey has a meeting today in Mrs. Stopa’s room at lunch.  

 

1. The Junior field hockey team played a great tie game against a strong Maggie team. Maya, Mannat, Hargun, Kismet, Ishmeet and Sara are dangerous attackers and created some great scoring chances.
