SOUTHERN OKANAGAN SECONDARY SCHOOL 

Monday, September 20, 2021. 

1. Hey SOSS. Our annual Terry Fox Run is coming up on September 23rd during C Block.  Link Crew is asking you to donate to the 41st annual run by putting a donation in the jar of the teacher you would like to pie in the face.  The jars are located in the library and a $5 donation gives you three chances to pie the teacher!  Also, there will be a hot dog BBQ and ice cream treats after the run at lunch time.  Everything is just $1 and all proceeds go to the Terry Fox Foundation.   

1. Grade 8 Boys Volleyball today at 3, Senior Girls Volleyball today at 4:30, Senior Boys Volleyball at 4:30 and Grade 9 Girls Volleyball at 3. 

1. Truth and Reconciliation Day is coming up on September 29th.  We have Orange Shirts for sale for $18 and buttons for $2.  Please see Miss Matthews in the office to purchase your shirts and buttons. 

1. Today in the Caf it will be Butter Chicken and Naan and Spiced Chickpea Soup. 

1. For students coming and going from practices, please be aware that the front doors of the school are closed at 4:00pm everyday. If you are coming to a late practice please enter through the gym doors at the back of the building. Please let your parents know to pick you up from practices at the back of the building as well. Coaches, please review this information with your teams at your next practice. (Thurs, Fri and Monday please) 

1. She, They and Gays skate club will be starting again! Meeting Tuesday September 21st after school in the gathering room. 

1. Field hockey practice today after school. Senior Girls field hockey players there is a meeting at lunch today in Mrs. Stopa’s room.  

1. It’s Student Vote day today! All students are encouraged to come down to the Atrium with their class or at lunch today and vote for the political party of their choosing.
