SOUTHERN OKANAGAN SECONDARY SCHOOL

1. SAGA will be starting up NEXT Friday, May 7 with some new health and safety rules. Masks must be worn the entire time and you’ll have to eat prior to coming to club at 11:30. We’re really looking forward to seeing everyone! 

 

1. The gathering room is back open for the first 10 minutes of lunch and then again for the last 10 minutes of lunch to grab snacks and to say hello. 

 

1. For students who played field hockey in the fall, there is an important team meeting next Wednesday at lunch. Meet at the field hockey shed and bring your lunch!

1. Attention grads, the deadline for most of the scholarship and bursary application in the office is today. Be sure to get your applications completed and handed in to Mrs. Koffler by 3:00 today. 

 

1. A reminder for all of you that Students leaving before the end of a class are required to check out with Mrs. Koffler in the office. A parent or guardian will need to call, email or speak to Mrs. Koffler in order for you to sign out.

 

1. Reminder that we are offering a smudge every Friday after school.  We meet outside the front doors by the drama room. All are welcome. Shynai from the gathering will be doing smudging every Monday morning starting at 8. 

 

1. Grade 11s Listen carefully...if you cannot leave the gym clean and ready for the next class to come in, you will not be welcome to eat inside. Clean up your garbage and put the tables up or the whole grade will be outside for lunch. Help each other out to meet this very basic expectation. 

 

1. Grads...we need your baby pictures! Please bring a super cute baby picture to Mrs. Goncalves in the library. Or you can email one to her. Get it done!  While you’re at it grads, 46 of you have completed the crossing the stage survey. This is WAY overdue and needs to be completed NOW. If you haven’t given a grad write up and quote to Mr. Schulting for the yearbook...that too is overdue. All of this info can be found on our Grad 2021 Team. Time to take some ownership of your upcoming graduation...DO. YOUR. JOBS. See Ms. Smith with ANY questions. NO MORE EXCUSES!
