SOUTHERN OKANAGAN SECONDARY SCHOOL 

Thursday April 15, 2021 

1. This week is Spring Spirit week.  There will be a winner for each day: Today is Jersey Day and tomorrow is Spring Formal Day. 

1. Ultimate Frisbee practice today after school @ 3:00 – 4:30pm. 

1. Today in the Caf it will be Lasagna and Creamy Tortellini soup and Monday will be Butter Chicken and Chicken Laksa. 

1. Grads of 2021...35 of you will have your name read and wonderful words said about you as you cross the stage at graduation in June. Thanks to the 35 that have completed the now overdue survey. The rest of you are going to cross the stage with awkward silence and maybe a cricket chirping if you’re lucky. Get your survey done! It takes 5 minutes and is on Teams for you.  Also Grads your Meat and Flower fundraiser forms must be submitted to the office by lunch on Monday April 19th.  No later orders will be accepted. 

1. A reminder for all of you that Students leaving before the end of a class are required to check out with Mrs. Koffler in the office. A parent or guardian will need to call, email or speak to Mrs. Koffler in order for you to sign out. 

1. Attention Grads, the Elks Club of Oliver bursary applications are now available in the office. 

1. Students eating lunch in your designated areas, please CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELVES. The custodians come through your spaces after lunch to sanitize and keep us safe, but they are not here to pick up your garbage. Grade 8’s, you specifically need to up your clean up game. Before you leave the gym, clean up your stuff and help out someone else to clean their stuff. If we all do this, there should be no garbage and the classes next using those spaces can enter clean learning spaces. Thanks everyone for showing your hornet pride and doing your part!
