- Some of you may be aware that there has been a campaign of Elbow Bumps happening in the school. These Elbow Bumps are all about taking a moment to recognize positives happening in our building. Up until now Mr. Heinrichs and Ms. Smith have received nominations from SOSS adults for students that they believe have done something bump worthy. We have celebrated things like great test results, improvements in class engagement, random acts of kindness, a great attitude or effort in class, adding to the learning environment, etc. This is where it gets fun...if YOU have someone in this building that you would like to give an elbow bump to, send a message to Ms. Smith or Mr. Heinrichs and we will help you to make this elbow bump happen!
- Homework Club is in the Gathering Room from 2:45pm-4:00pm, all are welcome!
- Hey SOSS! Yearbook construction is still in motion! Please remember that you can continue submitting all your fun photos through the yearbook page on our school website. Let’s make this year’s yearbook memorable.
- STEAM club invites students to stop by the courtyard on Thursday at lunch to watch us launch our catapults. We have a couple of catapults that will be available for students to try out if they are interested. All students must be wearing their masks and stand in their cohorts. We will also have examples of our next project, which is mouse trap race cars on site, so it would also a great time to sign up for our next project!
- Today in the Caf it is Chili with cheese buns.
- Student Voice is sponsoring a Mental Health Awareness Week March 1-5th. Midterm time can be stressful and it’s important that we take care of our mental health and know where to go for support and information. Listen for the Mental Health Awareness trivia questions this week, then put your answers in the box on the table in the school’s front entrance. A winner will be drawn each day and awesome prizes will be awarded!
