1. Beautiful People! Just a quick reminder about how to act like beautiful people when lining up for lunch. 1. Don’t come before the bell. 2. Wear your mask. 3. Now listen closely because this one is important...when you arrive to the caf enter the line from the BACK of the line. That’s the spot furthest from the food. Some of you have been confused and are entering the line where your friends are or where there is a lovely quiet person who won’t speak up when you budge. And 4. Say thanks to your servers. Get your good human on and line up just like you learned when you were in kindergarten! Bon appetit! 

 

1. We are still having our Grade wide Food drive.  So far only Grades 8, 9 and 10 have brought in food keep it up young ones!  We still have not received any food from Grades 11 and 12...C’mon old guys, show us what amazing leaders you are! Rally your grade and bring some food in for the food bank!  Bring your non-perishable food items to the Library to add to your grades food tree.  The tallest tree will win great prizes!! 

 

1. Homework club after school in the Gathering Room until 4pm.  All are welcome. 

 

1. Link Crew is selling Christmas Cards all week at lunch for 2$.  The cards are specially made by our Grade 8s and all proceeds go to OSNS, an organization that helps children with special needs in the Okanagan. Come show your holiday spirit and support this great cause. 

 

1. Are you ready?  The S.O.S.S. Merch is ON SALE for one week only!!!  You can order your Hornet Merch on-line!  Go to the school website. Or you can pick up an order form in the office. Hurry and get your S.O.S.S. hoodie, sweatpants, socks and T-Shirt! The deadline to order school clothing is next Wednesday.   

 

1. Grads, we have decided to postpone the grad breakfast. We will re-book this event in the new year.  

 

1. Grads, this one is for you too. I have one word for you...CAPSTONE. Have you started? Do you know how to find the assignments? Will you get it done so you can graduate in June? Just a gentle reminder that all Capstone work is due and the end of January and your Capstone presentations will be happening in February. Please use the upcoming break to tackle this work. See Ms. Smith with any questions.  

 

1. Last day to pick up your term 1 art work.  Go to the art room if you want it. 

 

1. Grade 8 Girls Basketball at 3 today. 

 

1. Grade 12 Basketball at 6pm today. 

 

1. SAGA club today in Ms. Shione’s room 205. Please come to Ms. Shione’s room at 11:30. Can’t wait to see you all! 

 

1. Today in the Caf it is Baked Spaghetti with Bread and Red Pepper Corn Chowder. 

 

1. We have changed the date of our Indigenous lunch for Grade 11. Today is our Grade 11 Indigenous lunch in the gathering room! If you are Indigenous and in Grade 11 please join us for Bannock tacos and prizes! 

 

1. For our Indigenous students participating in Boys and Girls group. We will be postponing group until the new year. 

 

1. Winners of yesterdays Christmas Cheer video challenge will be announced on Monday and your prize will be delivered to your classroom.  Now for today’s advent calendar task.  Sing a Christmas song and upload the video of you singing to the SOSS Yearbook Album page.  The First person to do this will win the Advent Calendar Prize.  Now for a special announcement from Student Voice.
