  1. Just a reminder that the girl’s changeroom will be closed everyday from 11:50-12:00 and 2:50 – 3:00 for cleaning. Please be cleared out of the changeroom at that time and do not re-enter until the cones have been removed and the space has been opened up.  

 

  1. There will be homework club after school in the gathering room until 4 pm. All are welcome 

 

  1. There are no winners today for selfie with Ms. Hornet. Here is a hint she is watching students while they make their way to class. This is a daily challenge, the first one to find Ms. Hornet our school Elf and send a selfie to Mrs. Stopa will win a fabulous prize. 

 

  1. We are still having our Grade wide Food drive.  So far only Grades 8, 9 and 10 have brought in food keep it up!  We still have not received any food from Grades 11 and 12.  Bring your non-perishable food items to the Library to add to your grades food tree.  The tallest tree will win great prizes!! 

 

  1. Link Crew is selling Christmas Cards all week at lunch for 2$.  The cards are specially made by our Grade 8s and all proceeds go to OSNS, an organization that helps children with special needs in the Okanagan.  Come show your holiday spirit and support this great cause. 

 

  1. The S.O.S.S. Merch is for SALE starting today!!!  Order your Hornet Merch on-line! Go to the school website or pick up your order form in the office. Hurry and get your S.O.S.S. merch for 2020!  

 

  1. All the art work from term 1 is now out of the display cases please come and collect from the art room before Friday if you want your projects back (please read all week). 

 

  1. Reminder for any grade 10 who would like to write their graduation required numeracy or literacy assessments this January to please sign up with Mrs. Koffler in the office. Please see Ms. Smith with any questions. If there are any grade 11 or 12 students who would like the opportunity to re-write the numeracy assessment, please see Ms. Smith or Mrs. Koffler in the office by the end of the day TODAY 

 

  1. Gr. 9 Basketball today from 4:30 – 6:00 in the main gym.  

 

  1. Student Voice club – meets virtually every Wednesday at 5:30 

 

  1. Grade 10 boys Basketball Practice today at 3pm 

 

  1. Chess club- room 117 at 1130 

 

  1. The Girls Can Talk Club is meeting in Ms. Shione’s room, room 205, at lunch. If you’re interested about fighting for social justice with a focus on gender equality, please join us! 

 

  1. Today in the Caf it is waffles, fruit and sausages and Fridays lunch will be Baked Spaghetti with Biscuits and Red Peper Corn Chowder. 

 

  1. Reminder to Grade 9 Students that if you have your Immunization Consent forms please bring them to the office right away. 

 

  1. This is a reminder to the girls in the sin-cleep sisters, there is group this afternoon starting at 1:15 in the gathering room. 

 

  1. Today is our Grade 9 Indigenous lunch in the gathering room! If you are Indigenous and in Grade 9 please join us for Bannock tacos and prizes! 

 

  1. Congratulations to Hasnoor Tung for winning our Holiday Card Advent Calendar Challenge yesterday please come to the Library to collect your prize.  Runner ups go to Riya Chahal, Zoe Crowley and Danielle Larose.  Now for today’s advent calendar question. Today is only for the Grade 11s only the Grade 11s can participate in todays question: What was the real Department store in a Christmas Movie, and what movie was it?  We need both the store name and the name of the movie it is in.
