  1. SAGA club today in Ms. Shione’s room 205. Please come to Ms. Shione’s room at 11:30. Can’t wait to see you all 

 

  1. The Student Voice Club is hosting an Art Contest for a creative new SOSS logo!  To enter, submit a piece of artwork with RENOVATED design of the SOSS Hornet mascot for 2020. The winning design will be featured on our new student merch, and the creator will win awesome prizes! The deadline is Nov. 17th. You can pick-up contest information in the main office.   

 

  1. There is Grade 8 field hockey practice today after school in the Small Gym and Grade 9’s on Monday. 

 

  1. Hey SOSS, did you know that Yoga is great for your physical AND mental health? Practicing yoga teaches you how to adapt to stressful situations and overcome challenges, plus it’s a lot of fun. If you’re curious about yoga and want to give it a try, see Mrs. Stopa about Yoga Club. We will meet on Mondays from 3-4pm in the Drama Studio. Space is limited so sign up today! 

 

  1. Don’t forget to come to the Library and get your poppies by donation!  Come and support our Veterans and the annual Remembrance Day Poppy Campaign, this year the door-to-door campaign is not happening so any bit we can do here at SOSS to help will go a long way. 

  

  1. Good morning Graduates of 2021! Your CLC and Capstone assignments have been loaded onto Teams. Please check your Grad 2021 Team for information. Ms. Smith will visit classes next week to discuss this in more detail and answer questions, but it’s time to start thinking about your CLC and Capstone. 

 

  1. Also Grads...It’s Meat and Flower fundraiser time. Sell meat and flowers to reduce your grad fees. Order forms are in the office and flower order can be done online through our SOSS website. The turnaround time is quick, so sell to your friends and neighbor's today! Flower orders are due by Nov. 18 and meat orders by Nov. 20. Check your school email for a message from Mrs. Koffler and see Ms. Smith, Mr. Kitt or Mrs. Koffler with any questions.

 

  1. A representative from Selkirk College will be here during the first half Block D today with a presentation on the Rural Pre-Med program.  Interested grade 11 and 12 students are welcome to attend in room 118.  Ask for permission from your teachers before attending. 

 

  1. Work Experience students.... Your paperwork for the first term is due Monday... get your stuff in. 

 

  1. The SOSS Talent show is approaching quickly and so far it looks like only the grade 8’s and grade 11’s will have a show.  Come on Grade 9s, 10s and 12s...It is not too late to sign-up.  We know there must be more students out there who like the opportunity to perform!  Sign-up today outside the drama room.
