- Reminder today is Early Dismissal for Parent Teacher Interviews. School is out at 12:45.
- Attention Students if you have some good song suggestions for the announcements please see Mrs. Wolfe in the Library.
- Attention all students something exciting is happening at SOSS!! This year we will be developing a Yearbook for all students to purchase!! There is a contest going on for the Cover Picture of the Yearbook. To enter please go to the SOSS website and submit your pictures to the yearbook page! We will also need pictures to be in the yearbook so everyone please go to the website and submit all of your best photos of the awesome times we have at SOSS with all of our friends!!
- When borrowing technology from the library, please be very aware that you are responsible for it. Before leaving the library, check the state of the laptop and show any problems to Mrs. G or Mrs. Wolfe. When you return the laptop, please let the same two wonderful ladies know about any issues or concerns. One lost letter on a keyboard can cost us up to $125.00 and you may be responsible to pay that bill if it happened while the laptop was signed out to you. We are very lucky to have so much technology available to us, but we need to take care of it, so we have it for years to come. Thanks Hornets!
- This Wednesday at the beginning of lunch in The Gathering room we will be having an information session on our Indigenous Equine (horse) program. If you are an Indigenous student, and are interested in working and learning with horses please attend this 15 minute information session to see if this is right for you. There is limited space, so if you are interested in finding out more, you need to attend this meeting. See you Wednesday in the Gathering Room at the beginning of lunch!
- Bus students, when waiting for the bus, please be one GIANT step back from the curb. The buses will not leave without you and there are seats for everyone. Your closeness to the curb feels unsafe for the drivers, so back up! Thanks
- Grads, there is a grad parent meeting tonight on happening on Teams. Please log your parents and guardians onto your teams account under the Grad 2021 team in time for our 7:00 meeting tonight. Please see Ms. Smith, Mr. Kitt or Mrs. G with any questions. See you at 7 for tonight’s meeting.
- Halloween is coming so it’s time to start decorating those Block A classrooms! Put up those cobwebs, skeletons, ghosts and other creepy things. Judging will take place next Friday morning and the winning class will get a pizza lunch.
- Hey SOSS are you ready for Halloween? We are doing our first ever Halloween Spirit Week. The fun begins next Monday with Halloween Colour Day and finishes on Friday with our annual Halloween costume contest. The days in between will also be filled with Halloween fun. Posters will go up today so check it out! Of course there will be plenty of prizes and fun!
