SOUTHERN OKANAGAN SECONDARY SCHOOL

  1. Course Requests are now open on the Student Portal.  All students are asked to enter their course requests for next year on the Student Portal and to return their forms to the library.  If you need help please see Mrs. G.  

 

  1. Link Crew is selling candy-o-grams and song-o-grams at lunch today in the caf so come out and purchase some Valentines day goodies.   

 

  1. In the Caf today it is Grilled Veggie and Turkey Paninis and tomorrow will be Butter Chicken 

 

  1. Grade 8 students are reminded to return thier permission slip for this Thursday’s field trip to their D block teacher.  They must be in by today.  Also, students with dietary restrictions should see Mr. Heinrichs as soon as possible.  

 

  1. Grads...it’s time to start planning your Prom. There will be a prom committee meeting today in room 104. Any grads that are interested in helping to plan and organize Prom 2020 please be there and please bring your lunches. (M-W please) 

 

  1. 2020 Grads. This is a big week for Capstone Personal Pitches. Please make sure you have spent some time preparing your Personal Pitch. If you show up unprepared, you will be sent away and given one, and only one, opportunity to try again. Please keep your presentations to 20 minutes. See Ms. Smith TODAY if you have not yet signed up for your presentation. 

 

  1. Legally Blonde Rehearsals this week run from 3-6.   

 

  1. The Multicultural Student Voice committee will meet TODAY at lunch in Ms. Laver’s room.  New students are welcome. 

 

  1. Ms. Shione will be hosting a book club for SAGA that deals with LGBTQ+ issues. We will be reading “I am J.” Anyone interested in starting this very important discussion, please come to Ms. Shione’s room today at lunch- tea will be provided!! 

 

  1. The Sr. Boys Basketball team host their final zone playoff game against Summerland tonight at 6:30pm. This game will decide whether the team moves onto Valleys. Come out and cheer the boys on and show them your support.
