SOUTHERN OKANAGAN SECONDARY SCHOOL

1. Anyone looking for a fun science and technology opportunity, come and participate in the spaghetti bridge building contest held at Okanagan college in Kelowna.  We will meet in Room 108 at the beginning of lunch ttoday. 

1. There will be a free Pancake breakfast this Friday, January 31 starting at 8 in the Atrium. 

1. Attention students are you looking for a new summertime job in Oliver? Well Hester Creek Estate Winery is having a job fair on Saturday, February 8th from 11 to 3, where they will be looking to fill positions in their restaurant Terrafina, the Villas and the wine shop. Please check out their website or see Mrs. Frank for more details. 

1. Are you interested in business and entrepreneurship?  There is a road trip to Kelowna on February 20th for grade 9 and 10 students to help explore the opportunities available.  Please see Mrs. Goncalves in the library to put your name on the list.  Students will be notified if they are chosen to attend.   

1. Cassidy Mackintosh, there is a message in the Library for you. 

1. Grade 10 and 11 students who would like to learn more about AP English Lit and the new En11 Honors/Pre-AP course are invited to an info session in Ms. Laver’s room Tuesday at lunch.  Some tasty treats will be provided!
