 SOUTHERN OKANAGAN SECONDARY SCHOOL 

 WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 4TH, 2019 

 

  1. Seniors...if you have not yet started your Capstone work then YOU ARE BEHIND. You should have at least looked at all of the assignments by now, so you can budget your time accordingly in order to complete everything on time. Please go into Teams and start putting together your Capstone work TODAY! See Ms. Smith or your grad mentors if you have questions or you’re having troubles getting started.  

 

  1. Legally Blonde Cast –  Today and tomorrow are both full cast. Please do your homework – know the songs as well as you can. Check out the board so you know what songs we will be doing.  Also, notice the change for next week – rehearsals will be Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday – NOT Monday.  

 

  1. The Student Voice Club meets today at lunch in Mrs. Laver’s room 208. New members in grades 10-12 are always welcome to join Student Voice at any time. 

 

  1. SAGA (The Sexuality and Gender Alliance) is meeting in Ms. Shione’s room at lunch today.  Bring your lunch and come hang out. 

 

  1. It’s time for our annual SOSS Food Drive.  Boxes will be set up by the big Christmas tree.  Let’s see which grade has the most school spirit.  Bring in your non-perishables and put them in your grade box.  Donations will be accepted until December 19.  Let’s show Oliver that SOSS cares – Which grade will bring in the most?   

 

  1. The following field hockey players must return bits and pieces to Mrs. Lang TODAY.  Takdir, Quincy, Dylan, Anika, Jassi, Jasneet, Ashe, Faryn, Chyna, Mya, and Emma K.  If you are unsure what is still outstanding look at the list posted outside Mrs. Lang’s room. 

 

  1. In the Caf today it is Greek Salad with Prawn or Chicken Skewers and Italian Gnocchi Soup and tomorrow will be Beef Stew with Yorkshire Pudding and Mushroom Soup. 

 

  1. Link Crew will be starting Candy-o-Gram sales this week.  Send a friend some Holiday Cheer by purchasing a Candy-o-Gram.  There will be Candy Canes and Cards for $1 and Bags of candy and cards for $3.  All proceeds from this will go to the local charity Highway to Healing. 

 

  1. Last day to purchase grad hoodies. They will be sold in the atrium at lunch. 

 

  1. Grad breakfast sign-up sheet is in the office.  Breakfast is on December 17.
