- The SOSS field hockey team had an incredible week in Victoria at Provincial Championships. The team won three of their six games to finish 11th overall- their best finish in the last few years. The girls played determined team defence that made it difficult for even the top teams to score on them, and were still fighting for every inch up to the final whistle. Way to represent our school, girls!
- The Student Voice Athletics 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament was scheduled to begin today, but the start will be pushed to tomorrow at lunch. All teams need to listen to the morning announcements tomorrow to find out who is playing. A schedule of all games will be posted outside the gym Thursday.
- The Grade 8 Volleyball teams are travelling today for playoffs. The boys are headed to Keremeos while the girls are headed to Osoyoos. Good luck today Hornets!
- Grade 8 Boys Basketball – All boys in Gr 8 interested in playing Gr 8 Boys Basketball are invited to the first practice of the year tomorrow from 4:30-6 in the main gym. See Mr. Podmorow if you have any questions.
- Gr 8 Girls Basketball – All girls in Grade 8 who are interested in playing Gr 8 Girls Basketball are asked to attend a brief but important information meeting tomorrow at 12:45 in the library. Spread the word and be at the meeting!
- Grads, don’t forget to pick up your meat and flower fundraising sheets from the office! Remember that every item you sell your grad fees will go down! Due date for orders is Nov 15.
- In the Caf today it’s Beef Stroganoff and Borcht and tomorrow will be Lasagna and Italian Sausage & Gnocchi Soup.
- Tickets for the Talent Show will be on sale this week in the atrium. The cost is five dollars. Come out to see some amazing SOSS talent. The show is November 20 at 7:00pm in the Frank Venables Theatre.
- All grade 9 students please remember to get your immunization forms signed and brought back to the office.
- This Wednesday, November 13, SAGA is going to start decorating Ms. Shione’s room for Christmas. Everyone is welcome to join to help spread some festive cheer!
- Art club after school is cancelled. There will be an alternative meeting this Thursday after school with the same time as usual
