- A big congratulations is in order, as on Saturday, our senior field hockey girls defeated Okanagan Mission, then went into a second round of exciting shootouts to defeat South Kamloops and win the Valley Championship! Well done to all 21 Hornets who contributed to that achievement!
- The Junior Girls field hockey team finished their season off with three great games on Friday. There was huge improvement over the course of the season for these junior athletes, and they can be proud of how they represented SOSS!
- A reminder that the first RECON night is tonight. Please let Mrs. McIntyre or Mr. Johnson know if you can make it or not.
- There are still students looking for math and science tutors, and we are hoping that a few of our more senior students will volunteer their services! Students who are willing to earn volunteer hours and gather valuable experience as a math and science tutor, please contact Ms. Gabel in the counselling office.
- Today in the Caf it is Waffles or Breakfast Sandwiches.
- A Halloween Classroom Decorating Contest is being held this year in Block A for those who wish to participate. Judging will take place in Bl. A on Oct. 31st and the winning class will receive a pizza lunch!
- It’s almost Halloween! Time for our annual SOSS Dress Up Day and Costume Contest. Halloween is Thursday, Oct. 31. Let’s see how much school spirit we have – dress up and be involved in the fun. There will be a costume parade, judges and prizes for the best individual costume, the best duo costume and the best group costume. Can’t wait to see everyone dressed up!
