- Auditions for the Talent show are taking place on October 17 at lunch and afterschool in the Drama Room.
- Skateboard club is postponed to Thursday this week. See you at three in the back parking lot.
- Today in the Caf it is Macaroni and Cheese and Potato Bacon Soup and tomorrow will be Roasted Veggie Paninis with Butternut Squash Soup.
- Art Club today at 2:45 in the Art Room. STEM Club today at 2:45 in the Tech Building Computer Lab.
- Attention Grade 8 Volleyball players, there will be a short meeting today in the library at the beginning of lunch.
- Senior classes at SOSS – that’s all grade 11s and 12s - will be able to take part in our STUDENT VOTE prior to Election Day here at SOSS. The voting will take place in the school library Thursday, Oct. 17, and is open to students in grade 11 and 12. Teachers may bring their senior classes to the library that day to cast their ballot and take part in the Canadian High Schools Federal Election.
- Greece and Italy trip 2021. There will be a parent meeting October 16th at 5 pm in the school library for all who are going or for any who are interested in going.
- The Breakfast club is in need of Student Volunteers on Friday morning. It’s imperative that we have student volunteers or we will not be able to run this program on Fridays. Please see Shan, Mrs. Ibi, or Mrs. Gittel if you are interested. Thank you.
- There is a meeting Wednesday at lunch in Ms. Laver’s room for the Student Voice group that is organizing the Halloween Decorating Contest.
- The senior and junior field hockey Hornets played 7 tough games in Chilliwack, winning one and tying two. Kiera Gaudet and Jasneet Sidhu both played outstandingly for SOSS. Good luck to the senior girls today as they head north to take on the KSS Owls.
