- Have you seen the posters recently hung up around the school? A save the bees movement is coming to SOSS. There is something seriously wrong with the world’s bee population and it is up to the younger generations to raise awareness and do your part to help these pollinators. Some favourite foods such as apples, strawberries, peaches, almonds, coffee, and of course, honey depend on it. On Wednesday, May 1 there will be some special visitors from the elementary school coming over at lunch time to sell glasses of lemonade and some extra special handmade buttons that they have made to raise money to help save the bees. Please bring your money and help support Mrs. Rowland’s Grade 1’s and Mrs. Stone’s Kindergarten’s. Buttons are $1 each and lemonade is $1 per glass and will be sold in the atrium and the front foyer. Help them raise money to Save the bees. Thanks in advance for your support!
