The Library Commons at Southern Okanagan Secondary School is a vibrant and exciting space. With a bright atmosphere the students are encouraged to come in and work independently, and with their peers to achieve academic excellence.
MISSION STATEMENT
At Southern Okanagan Secondary School a student-centered library provides a safe, nurturing environment where the goal is to foster a culture of inquiry, to integrate information literacy and technology into the curriculum to increase student achievement, to empower students and teachers to be effective and independent users, and producers, of information, and to promote a love for reading and an appreciation of literature.
