SOUTHERN OKANAGAN SECONDARY SCHOOL

1. Today in the Caf it is Mac and Cheese and Potato Leek Soup and  Monday will be Meatball Subs and Beef Stew. 

 

1. Reminder to all boys trying out for the Jr and Sr Ultimate team. Tryouts will be Monday after school at 3:30. Bring cleats, running shoes and appropriate outdoor attire!  

 

1. Any students who submitted entries into the Legion Remembrance Day contest in the past two years and wish to keep their entries please come pick them up in the library by the end of the day today or they will be recycled. 

 

1. Call out to all boys wanting to play Jr. or Sr. Ultimate this spring. Tryouts will be Monday after school outside next week from 3:00 – 5:00. Bring cleats and weather appropriate gear.  

 

1. Attention all grade 8-12 girls interested in playing soccer this season, the first practices will be next week, Monday Feb.26th at 3pm outside (top field) and then Wednesday Feb 28th.  Please dress for the weather and be prepared to be indoors with running shoes. 

 

1. Beauty and the Beast performance is coming up fast!  Get your tickets on-line or from Ms. Wolfe in the library.  This is going to be a fantastic and fun performance you do not want to miss it! 

 

1. Course requests are overdue.  If you have not already submitted your course requests for next year please do so today. Your choices determine what we offer for classes next year, don’t be disappointed. 

 

1. Work Experience Students – your assignments are now overdue! Make sure you hand in your assignments to the binders in Mrs. Schori’s room. 

 

1. Grade 11/12 students – there will be a presentation by Thompson Rivers University today in the library at 10:30am. Any students interested in learning more about post-secondary options are invited to attend. 

 

1. There have been MANY kindness cards turned in from the Pay it Forward board in the last two weeks. This week’s winners are: Kismet & Maia, Akash & Rajan. Congratulations! Please see Ms. Wolfe in the library to choose a prize!  There are still lots of cards left and a whole week to participate, so check out the board downstairs and keep on spreading kindness!  

 

1. Calling all GRADE 11’s! It’s Grad Hoodie time! Do you want to walk through the front doors next year wearing your GRAD Hoodie? Of course you do. You heard right Grade 11’s. Grad Hoodies are on the up.  To get things started there will be a meeting in room 105 on Thursday February 29th at lunch.
