  1. Today in the Caf it is Poutine and Chicken Noodle Soup and tomorrow is Pizza Day.  

 

  1. Today is the last practice day for pickle ball and then we will start games. You and your partner can sign up as a team today at lunch or find Mrs. McIntyre anytime this week. These games will run every Wednesday at lunch for the remainder of the semester and will culminate in the winning team being named school pickle ball champions.  

 

  1. Any grade 10-12 students interested in learning more about what post-secondary life is like are invited to attend a ZOOM presentation in Room 109B at lunch on Friday, Dec. 8. Amy is an SOSS grad and is currently attending Selkirk College in the Rural medicine program. She will talk about her experience, answer questions and share advice on how to get ready for college or university life. 

 

  1. Grade 12’s - check your Teams. New volunteer opportunities listed. 

 

  1. Permissions Forms are coming in for the outdoor club’s winter adventure on December 14th  - that’s next Thursday!!  If you’re in grade 8 or 9 and are thinking about participating, see Mr. Willms for a permission form. 

 

  1. Chess and Scrabble club every Thursday at lunch time in Learning Support Room 103 

 

  1. No Homework Club in Gathering Room today 

 

  1. Student Voice is having their annual classroom Christmas decorating contest again this year.    All Block C classes interested in participating should start decorating their classroom to spread the holiday & winter joyJudging will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 20th and the winning class will earn a pizza lunch. The runner-up will get some delicious treats from Tim Hortons.  

 

  1. Attention Indigenous Grade 11 and 12’s if you are interested in attending UVic, TRU, or the RCMP there is a recruitment fair happening on December 12. Please come to the gathering room for a form and more information.  
  1. The grade 8 girls and boys had their first league games yesterday against KVR. Unfortunately, both teams came away with a loss, but the girls played an awesome defensive game, and the boys came away with the most rebounds. Way to go Hornets. 

 

  1. A reminder to everyone doing basketball Scorekeeping that there will be meeting during lunch in the big gym. If you're not able to attend please contact Charvi or Sabreen.
