  1. Volleyball Coaches – OES is looking for student coaches to help with their volleyball teams. Student-athletes in Gr 9-12 who are interested in helping coach Grade 6/7 volleyball are asked to see Mr. Podmorow for more information. 

 

  1. Jr Boys Volleyball – The Jr Boys Volleyball Team wrapped up their season last night in the South Zone Challenge match. Unfortunately, the boys did not consistently put together the kind of effort that would take down the Rockets from Summerland. All members of the team are reminded to wash, fold and turn in their uniforms to Mr Pod by the end of this week.  

 

  1. Grads – you only have one more week to sell meat and plants for the Grad fundraiser! Paper order forms are in the office or order online through the SOSS website. (pls. leave on until Nov. 21). 

 

  1. Today in the atrium there will be a kiosk for Beyond the Blues! Chad, Ms. Ibby and Mr. Willms will be hosting trivia and games, and providing screeners if you’re curious about learning more information on mood, stress, and mental well-being! 

 

  1. Gr 8 Boys Basketball – All boys in Gr 8 who are hoping to play basketball this season are invited to the first practice of the year today (Wednesday,  November 15th) @ 6pm in the small gym.

  1. Reminder to all Sr. Boys interested in playing on the Sr. Boys basketball team, that today is the last day of tryouts, and they will be held at 4:30pm in the by gym  

 

  1. Attention students – If you have not received your student ID they have arrivedPlease come to the library to pick it up.  Matty Weatherbee, Sanpreet Sohi, Isabelle Oosterveld and Leeland George please come the library after announcements. 

 

  1. Grade 10’s - remember to hand in your signed permission form for the Career Fair in Kelowna on November 20. 

 

  1. Grade 11 & 12 students – the Centre for Arts and Technology in Kelowna will be here Thursday at lunch for an information session. CAD offers diploma programs in animation, filmmaking, photography, graphic web design, interior design and more. Please bring your lunch and meet in Room 109B at 11:15am.  

 

  1. Homework Club in Gathering Room 3pm-4pm with Nick, all are welcome.  

 

  1. Beading  in gathering room at lunch with Tara. 

 

  1. Kids going on the skateboard trip meet in the foyer right after the announcements. 

 

  1. Pickleball games at lunch time today in the big gym. All levels are welcome. Come and have a match against Mr. Khodarahmi, Mrs. McIntyre and Mrs. Windley. 

 

  1. Grade 8 girls basketball - there will be a practice Thursday after school from 3:00 – 4:30pm in the small gym. 

 

  1. The deadline for the Legion Remembrance contest entries is now November 16th. Please submit your entries to the office by 2:45PM on Thursday November 16th. 

 

  1. Today in the Caf will be Butter Chicken and Roti and tomorrow is Pizza Day. 

 

  1. Big Baller Club made a huge comeback to defeat DDD, SGPC dismantled Ashtonviller”s. Games tomorrow have Lords of Chaos vs Ashtonviller’s game 1 and in game 2 No Namers vs SGPC. Come cheer them on.
